Blogging Fail

Hmm, haven't even logged on here in about 4 months.
My summer is crazier than expected, but in a good way. I'm going to Europe! I can't really believe it yet even though I keep staring at my Eurostar ticket. THis is going to be AWESOME.

Flirting fail

I'm such a guy. I met this guy at a party on Friday and he's totally into me. I'm totally not into him, but that's more a fact of me not being into anyone, not anything about him personally. He's called me 3 times in three days (and he wants to call again tonight) and all I can think "I'm suffocating!!!" ARGH.

Finally heard back from UChicago BMS on Saturday. They accepted me but I've already committed to UWashington (plus UW was my top choice). Chicago certainly shot themselves in the foot by not giving me any info AT ALL between Feb 7 and now though. 6 weeks without word from them is not nice. If I was waitlisted I would have preferred that info as soon as the AdCom made their decision and if I was admitted right after the AdCom met, why did it take them so long to send me that?

Whatever, Chicago was my last choice and Washington was my first so I'm still very happy with my choice. =)

Gave branch presentation today. Seemed to go well. Got to call NS1 "promiscuous." Thought that would be a good title for a blog - Promiscuous Proteins.

Or maybe not.

UW acceptance!!!! Still kinda in shock. Stop and think every once in a while "I got into grad school. I got into MFing GRAD SCHOOL. HOMG."

Soooo, yeah. Seattle.

Still highly enamored of the idea of having a blog, but unsure of what to write. And aware of the futility of posting random thoughts on the web that only Google web robots will read.
